Luechtefeld Family Continues Fight Against Cystic Fibrosis

By Debby Stricker

Ryan and Alicia Luechtefeld continue their fund-raising efforts to find cure for Cystic Fibrosis – a lung disease that affects two of their three children.
Madison and Logan have benefited from the new drug Trikafta that was funded in part with donations. Since the drug is not effective on all CF patients, the Luechtefelds continue their fund-raising goal “until it’s done.”
Alicia will compete in two events this fall to raise money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis. She and a group will run/walk in the Gateway Chapter Xtreme Hike at the HaHa State Park over rugged terrain at Lake Of The Ozarks September 22-24. Alicia will also run in the New York City Marathon November 5 with college friend Bernadette Haskins.
Alicia has set a goal of raising $20,000 for the CF Foundation this year.
