John P. Krus

Mr. John P. Krus of Nashville, departed this life at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 3:30 A.M. He had attained the age of 82 years, 2 months and 20 days.

Mr. Krus was born on June 25, 1941, in Bolo Township, Washington County, the son of Casimir and Stella (nee Barczewski) Krus. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Kujawa on August 18, 1962, at St. Michael Church in Radom, and she survives his passing.

John was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus. He was a dairy farmer and enjoyed gardening, playing cards, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and watching westerns. John made the best pickles. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. 

Left to mourn his passing is his wife Mary Ann Krus of Nashville; two daughters, Michelle Riechmann and husband Mark of Okawville, and Jennifer Dressler and husband Dale of St. Libory; five grandchildren, Zachary, Drew and Paige Riechmann and Dean and Lauren Dressler; two brothers, Dominic Krus of Houston, TX and Daniel (Cecile) Krus of Fairview Heights, IL; a sister, Virginia Krus of St. Louis; sister-in-law, Leona Krus of St. Louis; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Allen Krus; two brothers, Frederick and Richard Krus; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and wife Sophie Kujawa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 10 A.M. with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Tuesday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 8 A.M. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery and BackStoppers of Washington County and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
