Patricia “Patti” Hargan
Patricia Hargan of Nashville died August 18 at Friendship Manor Nursing Home. She was 83.
Patti was born on May 28, 1940, the daughter of Charles and Marie Verner. In December 1959 she married Robert Hargan; he proceeded her in death in February of 2011.
Patti is survived by three children: Lesi Nelson, Doug Hargan and Dr. Todd Hargan. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Lucas Nelson and his wife Mary Katherine and their daughter, Charlotte; Maria Massey and her husband, Mike and their children Amelia and Tucker; Whitney Duncan and her husband Andrew and their children Wade and Ella; two brothers, David and Mickey and his wife, Mitzi; sisters-in-law Linda Hargan and Diane Verner, special friend Deward Bean, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
A deep faith was Patti’s constant companion and she was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She always helped decorate the church for Christmas and kept the flowers alive in spring and summer. For decades, Patti made desserts for the annual Chili Supper and was part of the team who provided meals for church funerals. Patti was a consummate entertainer and often filled the house with fabulous food, music, and conversation. Her family was her pride and joy and she was happiest when she spent time with them. She nurtured and appreciated friendships. Patti also loved to travel.
Visitation will be at Campagna Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 22 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and from 8 am until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23rd.
Mass of Christian burial be at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on August 23rd at 10 a.m. Fr. Andy Knopik will officiate. Interment will follow at the new St. Ann Cemetery.
If friends desire, Mass offerings or memorials can be made to St. Ann Cemetery and Friendship Manor Alzheimer Wing and will be accepted by Campagna Funeral Home.
