Okawville Graduate Joins Pritzker Administration

By Travis Volz
An Okawville High School graduate is helping to shape state government policy after earning a coveted fellowship this summer.
Anna McKinley will work in the Governor J.B. Pritzker Administration after being named a recipient of the Dunn Fellowship, a year-long governmental honors fellowship program in Illinois.
“It’s a pretty competitive position,” McKinley said of her new role. “They said that out of 100 people who applied, only about 15 were chosen.”
The Dunn Fellowship is an opportunity for recent college graduates to obtain hands-on experience in state government, while obtaining tools for their future careers. The fellowships run from August 1 through July 31 every year.
