Carol M. Clark

Carol Marie Clark, 76 of Nashville, passed away at 12:19 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville. 

She was born on September 27, 1946 in Belleville, the daughter of Harry J. and Alberta G. Sommer Wienstroer. She married Larry A. Clark on September 16, 1977 in Nashville. 

Besides her husband of nearly 46 years, she is survived by two sons, Kevin (Corrine) Clark of Wichita, KS and Jeffery Scott (Janelle) Clark of Ramona, CA; a daughter, Alicia (Darrell) Vinson of Odin; a brother Arthur, (Marilyn) Wienstroer of Lively Grove; and a sister, Janet (Ron) Bleisch of O’Fallon; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Seth, Hayden and Emily Clark, Nicolas and Maya Rodriguez, Samual, Oliver and Keaton Vinson; a great grandson, Giovanni Rodriguez-Bradley. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Brafford in infancy; and a brother, Jim Wienstroer.

Carol was a payroll clerk at Washington County Hospital in Nashville for 34 years and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville where she played in the bell choir.

A private service will be held at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. David Benning officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Nashville. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington County Hospital or Trinity Lutheran Church.

    I remember Carol from our high school days. She was a very sweet, nice young lady and a friend. I saw the picture in the obituary and knew who she was right away. She had that same smile on her face everyday. I know she will be sadly missed.
