Lessons Learned On The Dairy Farm

Rodney Hanenberger had been in charge of the family dairy farm only a year when he was faced with major challenges.
In November 2013 a tornado hit the farm northeast of New Minden. The tornado destroyed eleven buildings, damaged four that were later razed, and threatened the viability of the farm.
Hanenberger moved his milking operation to the Craig Finke farm, and scattered cows to several area farms. He learned how to operate a dairy farm under very stressful circumstances.
