Damaging Storms Roll Through Area Saturday

After a week of pleasant spring conditions, the weather took a turn for the worse over the weekend when storms thundered through the area Saturday.
Tree limbs were knocked down, some areas lost power, and warning sirens around the county sounded just after 7 p.m.
A sheriff’s deputy reported spotting a tornado just north of Interstate 64 near Nashville, but it did not damage any of the farms in the area.
Much of the damage came from downed tree limbs, and a billboard at NOTS Logistics in Nashville was damaged, according to Matt Bierman, Washington County Emergency Management Administrator.
