Lindsay E. Smith

Lindsay Edward Smith, age 80, of Addieville, IL, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Sparta Community Hospital. 

Lindsay was born on July 2, 1942, in San Francisco, CA to Robert and Virginia Smith (nee Valentine). On March 9, 1963, he married his first wife, Marilyn Ann Moore, and together they had their son, Michael Smith. After their divorce in July of 1985, Lindsay was remarried to his beloved wife, Miriam Cox on October 11, 1985, in Crest Line, CA. Miriam and Lindsay enjoyed 28 years of marriage before Miriam’s passing on August 8, 2014.

Lindsay is described as a motorcycle enthusiast who loved to travel the country on his bike. He also had a great passion for electronic devices having worked for the General Telephone Company as a systems engineer for many years, and later tinkering with computers and his ham radio, which he used to enjoy every genre of music and chat with new friends across the globe.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Michael (Angela) Smith of Banning, CA, his grandchildren, Derron Smith and Darius Smith, his great-grandchildren, Kiara Horsman and Kamari Horsman, and his sister, Leslie.
