Ice Cream Stand Generates Income For 4-H Club
In Honor of 4-H 75th Anniversary Celebration

The Busy Bees/Busy Belles 4-H started operating the ice cream stand at the Wheat Festival in the 1970’s. When the Women’s Club folded, Fair President Wallace Klingenberg asked 4-H leaders about taking it over.
Leader Ron Going recalls making several thousand ice cream sandwiches by slicing ice cream and putting it between two large flat wafers. The club made $500 the first year.
