Okawville Welcomes Home State Champs

A crowd of well-wishers welcomed home the victories Okawville Lady Rockets following the team’s win in Saturday’s IHSA Class 1A State Championship game.
Despite a stomach bug that swept through the team and fans, spirits were high for the squad that won the first title in the girls’ basketball program since 2000.
Coaches, administrators and players addressed the Okawville faithful, thanking them for supporting the players on their march to the championship.
