Thelma E. Prasuhn

Mrs. Thelma E. Prasuhn, of Nashville, IL, departed this life at the Washington County Hospital-Extended Care in Nashville on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 7:25 A.M.  She had attained the age of 93 years, five months and 29 days.

Mrs. Prasuhn was born in Elkton, IL on July 21, 1929, the daughter of Henry and Anna (nee Lehman) Kroener. She was united in marriage to Donald Prasuhn in 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 13, 1968.

Thelma worked for many years as an administrative assistant for Green, Cross, and Piercy Law Office in Nashville. She was a devoted member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville and she was also a member of the Washington County Hospital Auxiliary.  In her younger years, Thelma enjoyed playing golf.  She also liked to watch game shows and crafting, but her best times were when she was with her family.

Left to mourn her passing is her nephew, Marlyn Patton and wife Margaret of Nashville; niece, Sheila Patton of Nashville; ten great nieces and nephews, Marsha (Doug) Holzhauer, Michelle Tuttle, Malinda (Tim) Kellerman and Jackie (Jeff) Friend all of Nashville, Melissa (Kevin) Kurwicki of Salem, Catrina (Chris) Barnhart of Fort Worth, TX, Miranda Kellerman of Centralia, Desiree Hug of Nashville, Dane (Briana) Atnip of New Minden, and Drew Atnip of Nashville; many great-great nieces; one great-great nephew; one great-great-great niece; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, H. Allene (Merle) Patton and Emma (Oliver) Pieper; and a nephew, Wayne Patton.

Private funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ with Pastor Beverly Kahle officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter or the St. Paul Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
