Claudette E. Bergmann
Mrs. Claudette Bergmann of Venedy, IL departed this life at her residence surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 7:35 P.M. She had attained the age of 66 years, 6 months, and 23 days.
Claudette was born in Red Bud, IL on June 9, 1956, the daughter of Robert and LaVerne (nee Sandheinrich) Lintker. She was a 1974 graduate of Okawville High School. Claudette was united in marriage to Keith Bergmann in the St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL on September 28, 1979, and he survives her passing.
Claudette worked as a home designer and operated her own design company out of her home in Venedy. She was a faithful and active member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Okawville, IL where she was a member of the Altar Sodality and served on the cemetery committee for several years. She also served as the Johannisburg Twp. Supervisor for many years. Claudette enjoyed traveling, camping, horseback riding, and tending to her garden. For Claudette, family was the most important thing. She absolutely loved being with her family and playing with her children and grandchildren.
Left to mourn her passing are her parents, Robert and LaVerne Lintker of Marissa, IL; her husband, Keith Bergmann of Venedy; three children, Jared Bergmann and wife Jenny of Vienna, IL, Crystal Davidson and husband Matt of Raymore, MO, and Erica Holtschneider and husband Luke of Eugene, MO; eleven grandchildren, Madaline, Curtner, Carter, Ella, and Evelyn Bergmann, Emery, Bennett, and Kendall Davidson, Owen and Colten Krantz, and Parker Holtschneider; three siblings, Barbara Thessing and husband Daniel of Venedy, Kenneth Lintker of Marissa, and Lisa Schmale and husband Al of Columbia, IL; numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; a brother, Kurtiss Lintker; and a nephew, Drew Lintker.
In accordance with the wishes of Claudette and her family, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Okawville with Fr. Kenneth York officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A public memorial service to celebrate the life of Claudette Bergmann will be held in the springtime, which was her favorite time of the year.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Barbara Catholic Cemetery or to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
