Norma Bultman

Norma Bultman of Okawville, IL departed this life at the home of her former daughter-in-law in Belleville, IL on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 8:59 P.M. She had attained the age of 97 years, 5 months, and 29 days.

Norma was born on the family farm near Okawville on May 13, 1925, the daughter of William and Louise “Lulu” (nee Frederking) Schilling. She was baptized in the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in rural Okawville in 1925 and confirmed there in 1939. She was united in marriage to Aldon Bultman at Olive Branch on October 7, 1950, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1995. 

Mrs. Bultman was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was a life-long and faithful member of the Olive Branch Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading the Bible and attending Bible study at church as long as she was able. Norma’s grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved them dearly.

Left to mourn her passing is her son, Nathan Bultman of Okawville; three grandchildren, Nathan Bultman II and special friend Sheila of Belleville, Barbara Bultman and special friend Karl of St. Louis, MO, and Chelsea Sue Graffrath and husband Brandon of Oahu, Hawaii; four great grandchildren, Nathan Bultman III, and Landon, Braelynn, and Elijah Graffrath; two sisters, LaVera Tubbs and Darlene Lashley; a sister-in-law, Cornelia Schilling; her former daughter-in-law, Beverly; a special niece, Betty Bultman and a multitude of other nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Schilling; two sisters, Mildred Bultman and husband Norvin and Esther Nottmeyer and husband Paul; as well as two brothers-in-law, Leland Tubbs and Roger Lashley.

Funeral services will be held from the Olive Branch Lutheran Church in rural Okawville on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Eric Wood officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Olive Branch Lutheran Church on Monday, November 21st from 9 A.M. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Olive Branch Lutheran Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
