Lorraine C. Meyer

Mrs. Lorraine C. Meyer of Lincoln, IL, entered rest at the Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 11:41 P.M.  She had attained the age of 100 years, 3 months and 13 days.

Mrs. Meyer was born on July 26, 1922, at Okawville, IL, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Brandhorst) Hohlt.  She was united in marriage to Calvin J. Meyer on July 29, 1943, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Okawville, IL and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2010.

Lorraine attended Okawville Public School and she was a 1940 graduate of Nashville Community High School.  She worked at the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Nashville, IL for many years, retiring in 1988. Lorraine was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville, IL.

Left to mourn her passing is her daughter, Connie Ragland and her husband Lester of Lincoln, IL; two grandchildren, Douglas Ragland of Lincoln, IL and Amy Ragland and her husband Scott Fenstermaker of Chicago, IL; two great-granddaughters, Randi Lynn Buse and her husband Ben and Ceciy Reneé Fenstermaker; great-great-granddaughter, Vera Buse; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Elaine Hill and two brothers, Wilbert and Harry Hohlt.

Graveside services will be held at the Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery in Addieville, IL on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 11:30 A.M. with Pastor Jeffrey Schwab officiating.  Those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Zion United Church of Christ and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
