Herman E. Kryger
Mr. Herman E. Kryger of Radom, IL departed this life at his residence surrounded by his family on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 7:26 A.M. He had attained the age of 90 years and 25 days.
Herman was born on September 20, 1932, the son of Edward and Clara (Rybicki) Kryger. He was united in marriage to Carol Nowak on April 26, 1958, and she survives his passing.
After Herman graduated from high school, he joined and proudly served with the United States Air Force. Upon returning from the Air Force, he started his true passion of farming. Herman was a man of strong faith and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom and the DuBois Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed time with friends, pitching horseshoes, watching, and listening to the St. Louis Cardinals, reading books and the newspaper, but his true love was farming and spending time with his family.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Carol Kryger of Radom; four daughters, Karen Guenzburger and husband Mark of Carlyle, Donna Haertling and husband David of Nashville, Lori Kabat and husband Mark of Scheller and Janice Osman and husband Jeffrey of Chicago; eight grandchildren, Dylan and Jared Guenzburger, Devin Haertling and wife Dana, Carly Olszewski and husband Zach, Braedon Haertling and wife Chelsea, Jordan Kabat and wife Chloé, Brock Kabat and wife Judith and Courtney Kabat; five great grandchildren, Tyler and Bennett Haertling, Porter and Lowen Haertling and Clark Kabat; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Angeline Matecki and Aline Frazier.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 10 A.M. with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom on Tuesday from 8 A.M. until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the ProLife or the St. Michael Catholic Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
