Rockets Finish Regular Season at Pinckneyville and Benton

Okawville High School’s cross country teams compete in the 15-team Pinckneyville Invitational that was held at Lake Sallateeska last Thursday..

Led by a first place finish by Caroline Tepe, the Lady Rockets finished in third place with a score of 77 points. The freshman harrier ran the course in 19:56.

Lydia Luechtefeld (22:54), Kylie Buehler (24:33), Sarah Cook (24:45) and Sidney Charles (25:03) rounded out the top five for Okawville. 

Also competing were Lauren Haacke (25:54), Nora Wood (26:51), Hannah Miller (32:46), Paige Kolweier (34:02), and Mallory Bening (37:16).

The Rockets finished in second overall with a score of 72. 

The Rockets were paced by Grant Schleifer (17:27), followed by Ryker Obermeier (19:15), Joe Jansen (19:50), Zander Hasheider (20:01), and Nolan Frantz (20:02). 

Also competing were Oliver Gaubatz (21:35) and Evan Perry (22:04).
