Junior Hornets Lose Opener at Freeburg

The Okawville Junior Rockets opened their season on the wrong end of a 10-0 score at Freeburg last Thursday.

Braylen Turner started for Okawville. He gave up just one run through the first three innings before Freeburg scored eight times in the bottom of the fourth. Caleb Hagarty also threw an inning of relief.

The Junior Rockets’ offense was unable to lift off, as Okawville was no-hit in the loss.

The Junior Rockets travel to Wesclin Wednesday and Waltonville Thursday before their home opener Friday against Mascoutah.
