County Board Hears Reports At August Meeting

The county Jail had 8 county inmates and 5 federal inmates in July, according to the report of Sheriff Len Campbell at the County Board meeting last week.
The Department made 21 criminal arrests, 34 traffic arrests, and issued 19 warnnings.
The Ambulance Dept. provided $80,714 worth of service fees, with income of $47,601. The Dept. had 152 calls in July, compared to a five year average of 149 for the month.
The Ambulance Department’s annual analysis of primary payer showed that 42 percent of the calls were Medicare; 11 percent Medicare Advantage; 15 percent insurance, 15 percent Medicaid, and 10 percent patient, 3 percent other govt. payers, and 1 percent facility.
