Experienced Educator to Serve as New ILS Principal

By Travis Volz

Tina Kassebaum brings a wealth of experience in education to her new role as principal at Immanuel Lutheran School in Okawville.

Kassebaum, a commissioned minister with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, has served as director of Christian education and trained educators at both Lutheran and public schools during her career.

Born in a small town in Michigan, Kassebaum says she has served in multiple positions all over the Midwest before settling down in Missouri for the last 20 years.

“I moved to Missouri from Ohio in 2002 to get my Master’s Degree from Concordia University,” she said. “I met my husband there, and he was from Florissant, so that is where we have lived since.”
