WWCPI Plans Discussed at Village Board Meeting

Plans for the West Washington County Progress Initiative’s Dinner on the Drive will be changed following Monday’s Okawville Village Board meeting.

Two residents voiced their opposition to the event, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 3 on Memorial Drive in Okawville.

“Residents of Memorial Drive were not notified of the event before it was announced on Facebook and in the newspaper,” resident Kari Schaller said. “No one thought to get input from the residents.”

Katie Kramper, who was on hand with Jeff Rabenort representing WWCPI, was apologetic about how the event was announced.

“I was ill in the week before the announcement, and I never got a chance to talk to the residents beforehand,” she said.
