County Board Approves Zoning Request

The Washington County Board unanimously approved a request from John Pelczynski to rezone two acres on Kentucky Road in Beaucoup Township from Ag to Residential. He plans to build a house at the site.

According to the Sheriff’s report at the board meeting last week, the county jail has 5 county inmates and 4 federal inmates.
In the June the Sheriff’s Department made 17 criminal arrests, 30 traffic arrests, and issued 35 warnings.

The Ambulance Department made 146 calls in June, compared to a 5 year average of 142 for the month. The department has an open position, which is expected to be filled soon, said Administrator John Felchlia.
