William A. Fulton
Mr. William “Bill” Fulton of Plum Hill, IL departed this life in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 2:25 P.M. after a sudden illness. He had attained the age of 63 years, 7 months, and 3 days.
William was born in East Moline, IL on December 12, 1958, the son of Frank and Jayne (nee Donahue) Fulton. He was united in marriage to Paula Lynn Kornegger in Okawville, IL on June 11, 1983, and she preceded him in death on November 5, 2018.
Bill worked at Rockwell/Cambridge/ Meridian in Centralia, IL for 27 years as a painter and then as a forklift operator until the plant closed. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go hunting and fishing, and he also enjoyed putting out his garden every year.
Left to mourn his passing are his two sons, Ben Fulton of Waltonville, IL and Brandon Fulton of Ashley, IL; three brothers, Thad Fulton and wife Tabi of Alton, IL, Brian Fulton and wife Tammy of Ashley, and Toby Fulton and wife Kelly of Ashley; three sisters, Kim Elling and husband Alan of Carlyle, IL, Clara Fulton of Paragould, AR, and Kelly Wheat of Okawville; numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Brent Fulton, and a sister Gale Fulton.
In accordance with the wishes of the family, cremation was performed.
Memorial services will be held from the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 1 P.M. with Tim Dunnigan officiating. Interment of ashes will be at a later date in the Shiloh City Cemetery in Shiloh, IL.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Thursday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
