Barbara Czerniejewski

Mrs. Barbara Czerniejewski of Ashley, IL, departed this life at the White Oaks Residential Hospice in Mt. Vernon, IL on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 9:13 A.M.  She had attained the age of 70 years, 9 months and 13 days.

Mrs. Czerniejewski was born on September 14, 1951, in Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of Seaton and Elberta (nee Spangler) Piper.  She was united in marriage to Leonard Czerniejewski in DuBois, IL in 1984, and he survives her passing.

Barbara was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Leonard Czerniejewski of Ashley, IL; son, Joshua Czerniejewski and wife Erin of Radom, IL; two granddaughters, Lily and Emme Czerniejewski; three brothers, Alfred Piper and wife Jackie of Spokane, WA, Don Piper and wife Rhonda of Troy, IL and Garry Piper and wife Cheryl of Mt. Vernon, IL; sister, Lu Piper and husband Kenny of Mt. Vernon, IL; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jennifer Czerniejewski and brother, Joe Piper.

Per the wishes of Barbara and her family, cremation was performed and a private graveside service will be held at the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in DuBois, IL.

Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
