Sara L. Bauza
Sara L. Bauza of Nashville, IL, departed this life at Aviston Countryside Manor in Aviston, IL on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 2:27 A.M. She had attained the age of 76 years and 10 months.
Mrs. Bauza was born on August 21, 1945, in Centralia, IL, the daughter of George and Gertrude (nee Cortelyou) Kretz. She was united in marriage to Alois Bauza on January 29, 1968, in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on January 2, 1996.
Sara was a homemaker and assisted her husband, Alois, on the family farm. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL. She was a member of the Oakdale Home Extension and St. Charles Catholic Daughters. Sara enjoyed reading, gardening and watching HGTV. She loved her grandchildren dearly and looked forward to attending all of their events.
Left to mourn her passing are her two children, Kevin Bauza and wife Monya of Oakdale, IL and Kerry Henderson of Nashville; a sister, Nancy Thompson of Pinckneyville; six grandchildren, Alison and Austin Bauza of Oakdale, Joel Bauza of St. Louis, MO, Lane Henderson and special friend Hanah Grzegorek of Ashley, Seth and Neely Henderson of Nashville; nieces, nephews, other relation and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10 A.M. with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends called at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Friday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Saturday from 8 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Friday at 7:30 P.M.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
