Police Search for Alleged Gas Thief

Police are looking for a subject on a motorcycle following reports of a theft at Gary’s Tire in Okawville last Thursday.

Okawville police took a report of a theft of gasoline by a person on a motorcycle last Thursday around 6 p.m. A witness spotted the motorcycle filling his gas tank from a pump owned by the business.

A Nashville officer located the subject south of Nashville, and according to the NPD, an officer attempted to stop the rider. A pursuit ensued but was broken off soon after.
