Norma Maschhoff

Norma L. Maschhoff, 90, of Hoyleton, passed away at 9:58 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. 

Norma was born on October 14, 1931 in Hoyleton the daughter of Franz J. and Johannah Brandt Stahmer. She married Paul A. Maschhoff on October 29, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton and he passed away on April 16, 2008. 

Also preceding her in death were her parents and in-laws, Walter Grote, Willard and Wilma Maschoff, Leonard H. and Alma Maschhoff, and Paul and Leona Knolhoff.

Left to mourn her passing are two sons, Stephan (Karen) Maschhoff of Carlyle and Gary Maschhoff of Hoyleton; a daughter Jane (Doug) Nelson of Breese; four grandchildren, Daniel (Kirsten) Nelson, Kourtney (Travis) Knolhoff, Kim (Tyler) Albers and Brad (Shelby) Maschhoff; eight great grandchildren, Landon and Leighton Albers, Maybree, Nolan and Reid Nelson, and Averie, Hollie and Sadie Knolhoff; a sister, Dorothy Grote of Hoyleton; and many nieces and nephews.

Norma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton. She worked at Hollywood Brands Candy Company and was a homemaker and farm wife. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and with her sister Dorothy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
