Stanley J. Lamczyk

Stanley Joe Lamczyk, 92, of Du Bois, passed away at 4:20 A.M., Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the SSM Health Good Samaritan in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Stanley worked for the railroad and later retired as a farmer.  Stanley was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen.  He was also a member of Du Bois Knights of Columbus.  Stanley loved to socialize, fish and was an avid gardener.

He was born August 29, 1929 in Du Bois, IL, the son of Leo and Sophie (Novak) Lamczyk.

He married Helen T. Liszewski on April 23, 1955 at Posen, IL and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Bois; one son, Lambert Lamczyk of Du Bois; one daughter, Cynthia Janowski and husband Randall of Scheller; two grandchildren, Daniel Janowski and wife Danielle of Okawville and Tiffany Lehman and husband Christopher of New Baden; four great grandchildren, Elizabeth Lehman, Abigail Lehman, Paul Janowski, Thomas Janowski, and one great grandchild on the way; one brother, Eugene Lamczyk and wife Dorothy of Ashley; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lamczyk of Ashley, Regina Matecki of Nashville, Annie Bauza of St. Louis, and Dorothy Malawy of Nashville; many nieces and nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Barney Lamczyk, Sylvester Lamczyk and wife Deloris, and Andrew Lamczyk; two sisters, Louise Liszewski and husband Alex and Bernadine Martin and husband Bill; and five brothers-in-law, Eddie Liszewski and wife Cecelia, Sylvester Liszewski and wife Barbara, Leo Matecki, Alvin Malawy, and Dominic Bauza.

Private services will be held.

Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Posen, IL.

Memorials may be made for masses or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
