Seg’s Owner Interrupts Burglar

Tom Segelhorst interrupted a burglary in progress at Seg’s Tavern in Venedy when he went in the back door at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 21 to restock the coolers.

At the time, he didn’t realize someone was in the building. Surveillance cameras from AgriPride FS across the street, however, showed someone running out the front door as Segelhorst was going in the back door.

The burglar used a crowbar and battery-powered saw to cut open a gaming machine and cash machine. Money from those machines was taken.
