Richard T. Bonk

Mr. Richard T. Bonk of Nashville, IL, departed this life at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville, IL on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 9:55 A.M.  He had attained the age of 89 years, 1 month and 23 days.

Mr. Bonk was born on February 20, 1933, in Posen, IL, the son of Anton and Agnes (nee Paszkiewicz) Bonk.  He was united in marriage to Virginia (nee Prange) Pinski on February 17, 1979, in Posen, IL and she survives his passing.

Richard was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL.  Richard served as the clerk of Bolo Township for many years, and he enjoyed cutting wood and spending time in the woods.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife Virginia Bonk of Nashville, IL; two stepchildren, Clarence (Robin) Pinski and Debbie Pinski all of Nashville, IL; three step grandchildren, Brent (Jen) Pinski, Brittany and Brandon Pinski; two step great-grandchildren, Bryton and Weston; sister, Mary Ann (Albert) Ryterski; sister-in-law, Clara Bonk; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Anthony and Edward Bonk; two sisters, Bernice (Theodore) Kitowski and Delphine (Alphonse) Kitowski.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. with Fr. Andy Knopik and Fr. Paul Bonk officiating.  Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Friends called at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL on Tuesday from 8:30 A.M. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
