James Bovay

James Bovay was born Jan 3, 1958 and departed this world April 1, 2022 at home after a brief illness. 

He was born in Tacoma Washington to Arin Bovay and Joan (Stanowski). He is survived by his mom, Joan Povolish of Tamaroa; his significant other and soul mate of 29 years, Janet Groves of Okawville; three sons, Dylan Bovay (Alex) of Effingham, Danial Shlief and Doug Bequette of O’Fallon; two daughters, Denise Conner of Peoria and Jeanette Bequette of Nashville; two sisters, Barbara Borgman of Centralia and Mary Dennison of Tamaroa; two brothers Christopher (Lisa) Bovay of Cedar Hills, Mo. and Tom (Christina) Bovay of Defiance, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, nieces and nephews and good friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father and two infant brothers. 

Cremation was preformed Jim’s request. Celebration of life will be announced.
