OJHS Netters Fall to Germantown in Regional
The season ended for the Okawville Junior Lady Rockets volleyball team with a first round loss in the regionals to Germantown 25-22, 25-18.
Caroline Tepe once again led the way with five kills and 14 digs. Jilien Harre had nine points on serve and eight digs. Jaelyn Going had twelve digs, and Cadee Wiedwilt had ten digs. Carly Schmidt had three assists.
Earlier in the week the Junior Lady Rockets played in the Clinton County Conference tournament. The team won their first round match against Germantown 25-18, 20-25, 15-10.
Going finished with 14 points on serve and 13 digs. Tepe had five kills, twelve digs and eight points on serve. Harre had four kills and nine points on serve. Schmidt had seven assists. Lilly Helbig had four kills. Wiedwilt had seven digs.
The Lady Rockets then took on an undefeated Breese team in the quarterfinals and lost 25-14, 25-10. Tepe had 15 digs, three kills, and three points on serve. Going had 13 digs. Harre and Wiedwilt had six digs each.
In the consolation bracket, the Lady Rockets played well against Albers but could not hold on to a third set lead, falling 25-18, 21-25, 15-12.
Tepe had a career high 13 kills along with 13 digs, six assists, and four points on serve. Harre had ten points on serve and ten digs. Going had 14 digs and four points on serve. Rylan Senior had five kills. Wiedwilt had ten digs.
