Area Police Assist with Suspected Highway Shooting

Multiple law enforcement agencies in the area responded to a report of shots fired from a vehicle on Interstate 64 early Sunday morning.

Nashville police received a call for a vehicle stuck in a yard that matched the description of a car involved in a shooting near Mile Marker 33 on I-64.

According to the Nashville Police Department, the Illinois State Police broadcast a report of shots being fired from a vehicle just after midnight. Soon after, police responded to a report of a vehicle matching the description from the ISP broadcast was stuck in a yard on Lark Road just north of Interstate 64.
