Junior Lady Rocket Netters Battle Weather, Lose Twice
With another week influenced by inclement weather, the Junior Lady Rockets volleyball team played only two matches, first losing to Carlyle 25-15, 26-24 last Tuesday.
Caroline Tepe led the way against Carlyle with seven assists, eight digs, five points on serve and two kills. Carly Schmidt had seven points on serve, three assists, and six digs. Lily Cragen had five kills. Jaelyn Going had seven digs, and Cadee Wiedwilt had six digs.
The Lady Rockets improved their play but fell short 27-26, 25-21 against St. Rose on Monday.
Okawville had a serve to win the first set but could not hold and lost by one point due to the cap rule.
Tepe had eight assists, eight digs, and two kills. Rylan Senior played well and had seven kills. Wiedwilt had eight points on serve, and Schmidt had six points on serve. Going had eight digs.
The Lady Rockets now have a Clinton County conference record of 2-6 and an overall record of 2-10.
