4-H Barn Quilt Club Meets Tuesday Evenings
The Washington County 4-H Barn Quilt Club is welcoming new members. Youth will learn about priming the lumber, constructing the frame, painting techniques, and patterns for the quilts. A brochure is in the works that showcases the quilts and the history of the locations where the quilts are on display. So far the club has more than 60 beautiful quilts on display around Washington County.
The group meets on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nashville Community Center. Youth between the ages of eight and 18 who would like to learn more, are encouraged to attend. Previous 4-H membership is not required. For more information, please call the Washington County Extension Office at 618-327-8881, or register at go.illinois.edu/BarnQuilts.
