Pauline M. Boecklen

Pauline M. Boecklen, nee Schuemann, 86, of Belleville, born Feb. 27, 1935 in Excelsior Springs, MO died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville.

Pauline was a homemaker and a member of St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy. Pauline was an avid seamstress, gardener, and enjoyed going to yard sales.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Martha, nee Nelson, Schuemann; her husband, Melvin F. J. Boecklen, whom she married in Omaha, NE on Nov. 26, 1955 and who died on Mar. 27, 2011; step-father, Harry; four brothers, Harry, Warren, Stanley, and Emory Boecklen; one sister, Shirley Jensen; brother-in-law Hugo Boecklen; and sister-in-law Gladys Boecklen.

Surviving are three sons, Melvin (Charlene) Boecklen of O’Fallon, IL, Jeffrey (Amy) Boecklen of Belleville, Douglas (Melissa) Boecklen of Addieville; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Lynn (Cheryl) Boecklen of Pascagoula, MS; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: From 9 to 11 AM Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022 at St. Salvator Lutheran Church, Venedy, IL 

Funeral: A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022 at St. Salvator Lutheran Church with Pastor Art Eichhorn officiating. Burial will follow in St. Salvator Lutheran Cemetery, Venedy, IL.
