Washington County Senior Services is now able to expand transportation for its clients because it has bought an extra vehicle. It replaced a 2019 Jeep used to deliver meals, and that vehicle is now at the Center available for transportation
The Senior Center purchased a one year old Ford Eco SUV with funds on hand. No grant was available for the purchase.
Senior Services now has a vehicle available daily to take seniors to medical appointments and errands such as shopping and hair dresser. Although users are asked to pay a suggested donation, they will be provided transportation if they are not able to do so, said Senior Services Director Darla Rennegarbe.
