New Cell Tower Ordinance Will Allow Controversial Tower

A proposed 350’ cell tower in Plum Hill Township that earlier met with opposition will soon not have a zoning obstacle, said County Zoning Board Administrator Matt Bierman.
An attorney for Tillman Infrastructure contacted the Zoning Office in December about the county’s ordinance being too restrictive.
The county’s ordinance limiting cell towers to 200’ must be changed to 350’ FCC limit, said Bierman. A county’s ordinance cannot be more restrictive than the FCC limit, he said.
