Hoyleton Man Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident

A man from Hoyleton was injured in a two-car accident on U.S. Route 51 last Wednesday night.

Jason Everette, 36, was transported to an area hospital from the scene of the accident at the westbound on ramp of Interstate 64 at Route 51 at approximately 7 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a report from the Illinois State Police, Everette was traveling south on Route 51 when a tractor trailer truck driven by Ricky True of Richview was attempting to turn left onto I-64.

Everette’s vehicle, a 2017 White Ford E-350, struck the passenger side of the semi.

True, who was uninjured in the accident, was cited for failure to yield turning left.
