Ashley Library Expands Services Thanks to Grant

The Ashley Public Library’s mission is to provide services to local residents. Thanks to a grant through the American Rescue Plan, it will be able to expand those services.

New computers, an air purifier, and new security cameras will provide additional services as well as enhanced safety and security to the small town library.

“We have some dedicated, hardworking people who keep the library in good shape, but we don’t get a lot of money,” said Len Piasecki, who serves as president of the library board of trustees. “We thought we could really use the money from the grant.”

Last month, libarian Carol Tomaszewski received a letter confirming that the library’s grant application had been approved in the amount of $14,448 to support local services.
