In an effort to improve housing and attract families with children, the Ashley City Council has proposed a TIF District that encompasses the entire 462 population city.
That will make home owners eligible for reimbursement for certain improvement/construction expenses.
The city intends to use tax increment financing that will include public and private investment to conserve and re-grow the community.
The goal to is stave off conditions leading to blight throughout the community that would occur without implementation of a tax increment financing program, according to the TIF Redevelopment Plan.
