County Treasurer Distributes Real Estate Taxes Oct. 26

Washington County Treasurer Natalie Lynch announced that her office made a partial 2020 real estate tax distribution to the taxing districts on October 26.

The total amount of the distribution was $13,804,818.96. Approximately 60 percent of the total extended tax amount of $26,435,124.82 has now been distributed.

The first installment of taxes was due on October 8, and the second installment is due on Monday, November 8.

Payments may be made at the Washington County Treasurer’s Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Payments can also be placed in the county’s drop box located near the south entrance of the courthouse.

Payments made by mail should be sent to Lynch’s office at 101 East St. Louis Street in Nashville. Checks should be payable to the Washington County Treasurer. Those needing a receipt for payment should included a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the payment.

Lynch also reminded residents that mobile home taxes are past due. A penalty of $100 was added to the amount due beginning November 1. Mobile homes left with unpaid taxes will have liens filed against them in late December of this year.
