Booster Shots Available, State Ready to Roll Out Kids’ Shots

The Washington County Health Department is now offering booster shots for Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson COVID vaccines, and state health officials are gearing up for the anticipated approval of vaccinations for children under 12.
Booster shots are now available for residents over the age of 65, anyone aged 18-64 with underlying health conditions, or anyone 18-64 who have an increased chance of exposure and transmission due to occupational or institutional settings.
For both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, boosters are available for those whose last dose was at least six months ago. For Johnson and Johnson, boosters are available two months after the first dose.
