Damaging Storms Hit Near Irvington Sunday

Violent storms rolled through the area Sunday night and did some damage in the northeastern part of the county.

Trees were knocked over into a house and the roof was torn off of a machine shed near Irvington Sunday night, according to Washington County Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Matt Biermann.

Storms were reported across Missouri and southwestern Illinois Sunday night, including a reported tornado near Chester in Randolph County.
