Zion UCC Collects Disaster Relief Kits

Members of Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton worked to assemble aid packages for disaster relief earlier this month.

A total of 40 Church World Service Clean-Up Buckets, five Hygiene Kits and six School Kits were readied for delivery to the Church World Service drop-off at LifeWise in St. Louis.

Zion UCC allocates the loose offerings from each worship to the Disaster Fund, which helps cover the costs for supplies for the kits.

Priscilla Self, the Illinois South Conference United Church of Christ Disaster Ministries Relief Coordinator, and Zion UCC member Rebecka Wacker delivered the buckets and kits on October 9.
