After big victories over Valmeyer and Chester last week, the Okawville Lady Rockets’ win streak ended at 13 matches after a three-set loss at Alton Marquette.
The match against Valmeyer last Tuesday was for the top seed in the regional, and the Lady Rockets fought back from a first set loss to win the match 20-25, 25-23, 25-17.
Sidney Tebbe had a huge match with 11 kills, four blocks and a season high 24 digs. Jordyn Heckert had nine kills and 14 points on serve. Zoe Todd had 16 assists, and Elli Kremmer had ten assists. Madi Wienstroer had sixteen digs and six points on serve. Megan Rennegarbe had eleven digs and six points on serve.
The Lady Rockets then improved their Cahokia Conference record to 7-0 with a win over Chester 25-19, 25-22 Thursday at the O-Rena.
