Louella F. King
Mrs. Louella King of Okawville, IL departed this life in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, IL on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 12:32 A.M. She had attained the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 17 days.
Louella was born in Wilmington, OH on June 21, 1950 the daughter Leonard J. and Joann (nee Freeland) Garrison. She was united in marriage to Wayne E. King in Wilmington, OH on June 6, 1970, and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2020.
Mrs. King was a homemaker and had previously worked in the housekeeping department at the Grange Nursing home in Mascoutah, IL. Louella was a member of the Okawville United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was heavily involved in the Girl Scouts and was a Girl Scout leader for over 10 years. Louella enjoyed watching her soaps, relaxing out on her front porch, and spending time with her family.
Left to mourn her passing are two daughters, Delsa King of Nashville, and Caroline King and husband David Nesbitt of Mt. Vernon, IL; four grandchildren, Laura and Rachael Nesbitt, Brett Roth, and Stephany Becker; two sisters, Theresa Colthar of Lynchburg, OH and Glenda Haddock of Campbell, TX; a brother, Mike Garrison of Wilmington, OH; nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Lee King; a sister, Charlotte Redman and a brother, James Garrison.
In accordance with the wishes of Louella and her family, cremation will be performed. Memorial services will be held in Ohio at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
