Killion Advances to Golf Sectional

The Okawville Lady Rockets wrapped up their fall golf season last week at the Athoff Regional, though one player was not quite finished.

Avery Killion advanced to the Gibault Sectional with her round of 97, the lone Lady Rocket to punch a ticket to the next round.

As a team, Okawville shot 428 at Stonewolf Golf Course in Fairview Heights. That was 36 strokes behind Althoff, which earned the third and final team slot.

Killion’s 97 was the Lady Rockets’ lone score under 100. Taylor Hettenhausen shot 107, which was just four strokes off the pace set by the final two golfers to advance as individuals.
