OJHS Softball Falls in Regional Semifinal

Okawville Junior Lady Rockets shut out Steeleville 10-0 in the first game of the postseason last Wednesday.

Schae Juenger singled in a run in the first inning to start the scoring for Okawville.

Addi Hasheider homered in the fifth, and the Junior Lady Rockets tacked on four runs in the sixth inning. Brynn Rhodes, Hasheider, and Lily Cragen each drove in runs in the big inning.

Juenger earned the victory in the circle for Okawville. She went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out eight and walking one. Cragen struck out the side in an inning of scoreless relief. 

Juenger, Hasheider, Rylan Senior, Rhodes, and Kenley Hackstadt each had two hits to lead the Junior Lady Rockets’ potent offense.

Okawville’s season came to an end Thursday in the semifinal game, when Marissa beat the Junior Lady Rockets 8-2.

The offense could never get on track, and Marissa took advantage. Senior and Lillian Helbig had the only two hits.

The Junior Lady Rockets finished the fall softball season with a record of 11-4.
