Many Miles Ahead for Okawville Harriers

Okawville’s cross country teams were on the course again last week, competing Saturday at Freeburg.

Grant Schleifer once again had Okawville’s best overall finish, clocking in with a time fo 16:05 to finish 8th out of 139 runners.

The Rockets as a team finished 14th out of 19 teams. The only other Okawville harrier in the top 100 was Hayden Shubert, who finished 92nd with a time of 19:23.

In the girls race, Chloe Tepe turned in the best peformance. She ran the course in 20:15, good for 26th overall. Teammate Lydia Luechtefeld finished 54th with a time of 21:30.
