Benefit To Help Young Family With Medical Expenses

A cancer diagnoses had a double punch for a young St. Libory couple, Justin and Cassie Luecking.

First, there was the medical issue of Cassie’s ovarian cancer. She underwent surgery in January, which was followed by rounds of chemotherapy. That left her tired and nauseous.

The medical issue was followed by the financial issue. Although the Lueckings have medical insurance, they still have to pay thousands of dollars to meet the deductible.

Cassie will have CT scans for several years, so each year they will have another deductible.

That is where the community can help. 

A benefit dinner and silent and live auction will be held to benefit the Lueckings on Saturday, August 28 at the Addieville Community Club.

The dinner and silent auction begins at 6:00 pm and live auction at 8:00 pm.

The Addieville Jaycees are sponsoring the event.
